ONSPEED is a multilingual program that is intended to provide us with a much faster Internet connection. There are three program series called Onspeed Dial-up (for home computers), Onspeed Mobile Broadband (for connections via mobile phones), and Onspeed Broadband (for Pocket PCs). The estimated speed increase fluctuates between 5 and 15 percent and depends on the device we are using. This product runs both under Windows and Mac OS. It also supports all types of connections and companies worldwide. A big disadvantage is that we cannot evaluate this program nor check its performance unless we buy it.

onspeed is designed to give the feeling of a speeded up internet using on the fly compression and decompression of the bits of compressible web pages (text etc.) This works very well and gives a reasonable user experience for Dialup and in my case GPRS dialup. You pay about £25 per year for the service which links your downloaded client to an authentication server holding your username and password. My experience has unfortunately coincided with a collapse of the authentication servers on my third day of usage and a week later they have yet to sort out the half dozen tickets I raised. Apart from one communication stating they had sorted out the server I have had only standard autoreponses from the company. They advertise a 14 day money back guarantee so I have a day or so before I give up on them entirely. I believe they are a bona fide company with a good product but their customer relations/communications leave a lot to be desired.. or perhaps the authentication server is still giving them a sev1 experience in which case I shan't be buying shares.?!
